In the spring of 2014, the city of Beloit, Wisconsin, was unsettled by a burst of violence that claimed the life of 20-year-old Raymond LeArthur Holloway. A Black male, Holloway was shot and killed on the afternoon of April 25, 2014. His death was one of two unrelated gun homicides that occurred within a mere 10-hour span in the city, a highly unusual occurrence for the community.
