On the evening of September 18, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin neighborhood, claiming the life of 28-year-old Shavonta Johnson, a Black / African American male. The fatal shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. outside of a residence near the intersection of N. 39th and Locust streets. Johnson was struck by bullets in what authorities described as a drive-by shooting. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries. ...
