Reed, and shooting him in the head.
The investigation into the double homicide led to Terry A.D. Strickland being identified as the primary suspect. Strickland fled the scene in a black SUV, abandoning his 18-month-old daughter inside the house. The FBI added Strickland to its 'Ten Most Wanted' list in December 2016, and he was eventually captured in El Paso, Texas, in January 2017, following a tip-off.
Strickland was charged with two counts of first-degree reckless homicide. In July 2017, Strickland was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the murders of Maurice Brown Jr. and Michael Allen Reed.
