In the chill of a Wednesday evening on February 1, 2017, the life of Rashard Wright, a 23-year-old Black/African American man, came to a sudden and violent end. Around 8:45 p.m., in the area of 7th and Wright in Milwaukee, police responded to a call and found Wright lying in the street. He had sustained a gunshot wound.
