In the early evening of September 7, 2017, Anthony Daniels, a 29-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of North 54th and West Burleigh Streets. Daniels was inside a vehicle with another 29-year-old man when gunfire erupted. Both men were struck, and despite efforts to save him, Daniels succumbed to his injuries. The second man in the vehicle sustained serious injuries but survived the attack.
