On a spring evening in Kenosha, Wisconsin, what began as a night out with friends turned into a tragedy that would claim the life of 22-year-old Kevin T. Donaldson. On April 18, 2021, Donaldson, a Black male, was at the Somers House Tavern with his friends, Cedric Gaston and Atkeem Stevenson. The atmosphere in the busy tavern took a dark turn following a physical altercation.
