The incident occurred after a suspect, identified as 24-year-old Rakayo Alandis Vinson, was asked to leave the tavern due to uncooperative behavior. Vinson allegedly returned to the establishment shortly after being removed and opened fire, resulting in the deaths of Gaston and two other individuals, Kevin Donaldson, 22, and Atkeen Stevenson,
26, both also from Kenosha.
The shooting took place around 12:42 a.m. and caused chaos within the busy tavern, which was a popular hangout spot for students from nearby Carthage College.
