In the early evening of September 6, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in a Kenosha, Wisconsin neighborhood. When the noise subsided, a young Black man, 23-year-old Chrishon Wright, was left with fatal injuries. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. near the intersection of 24th Avenue and 63rd Street.
