In the late summer of 2000, in the city of Vancouver, Washington, the life of 40-year-old Meridee “Kay” Reynolds came to a tragic and unexpected end. On September 9th, Meridee, a woman who contended with a mobility impairment and a sleep disorder, was fatally shot. The person responsible for her death was not a stranger, but rather her friend and caregiver, Melanie McDonald.
