In the summer of 1992, 34-year-old Deborah Marie Overbaugh, a home health aide residing in Saugerties, New York, vanished from the nearby city of Kingston. On July 13th, she was seen in the vicinity of Janet and Emerson Streets. Reports indicate that on the day she went missing, Deborah, who also went by the name Deborah Piccirello, canceled a work appointment. She was last seen meeting with her ex-husband at a deli and convenience store on Emmerson Street. After their meeting, she reportedly got into her car with her ex-husband and they drove off. Deborah was never heard from again. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being between 5'4" and 5'5" tall, weighing around 135 pounds, with light brown or blonde hair and blue eyes. She wore glasses and had a distinctive physical feature: a third nipple below her right breast. Two days after Deborah was last seen, her car was discovered parked and in running condition on Janet Street, just around the corner from the deli where she had met her ex-husband. Concern for her welfare grew, as friends and family knew she was fearful of her ex-husband. This fear was so significant that she had recently arranged for her son from a previous marriage to live with his father overseas. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance were immediately considered suspicious, as there were no signs that she had intended to leave the area. The investigation into Deborah Overbaugh's disappearance has remained open for decades, yet no definitive answers have been found. Her family firmly believes that her ex-husband was involved in her vanishing, though law enforcement has never officially named him as a suspect in the case. The lack of resolution has left her loved ones without closure for many years. The New York State Police continue to have an active investigation into her case. The case of Deborah Overbaugh is a perplexing one, marked by a planned meeting, a discovered vehicle, and a family's enduring suspicion, all while the central figure in this troubling narrative remains missing.
