Michael R. Green, a 26-year-old correctional officer from Louisville, Kentucky, tragically lost his life on January 26, 1986. Officer Green was working an off-duty, uniformed security job at a local nightclub when the incident occurred. During his shift, he assisted other officers in removing several disorderly individuals from the club. Unfortunately, later that evening, the same group returned and opened fire into the nightclub, fatally wounding Officer Green.
