In the quiet town of Irvine, Kentucky, a dedicated public servant, 66-year-old Robert Taylor Walker, served as the Chief of Police. His life, marked by a distinguished career that included service in World War II, was tragically cut short on the cold winter day of February 16, 1986. On that fateful Sunday, Chief Walker was responding to a call, unaware that it was a deliberate setup designed to lure him into a deadly ambush. When he arrived at the scene, he was fatally shot.
