On October 22, 2016, Michael Johnson, age 44, was shot and killed in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the French Quarter, near the Governor Nicholls Street Wharf, which is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike due to its views of the Mississippi River.
