In the late evening of a Tuesday in January 2015, a fatal altercation unfolded at a residence on Sugar Hollow Road in Irvine, Kentucky, ending the life of 47-year-old Millard E. Dixon. A man who had spent his entire life in Estill County, Dixon was a logger by trade. The events of that night, just before 10:30 p.m. on January 27th, would leave his family and community seeking answers.
