On a tragic day in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Khamphao Phromratsamy, a 36-year-old man of Laotian descent, was killed on August 17, 1996. He, along with his ex-wife, 32-year-old Manyvanh Boonprasert, became the victims of a brutal home invasion. The couple, who still resided together with their three children, were fatally shot in an execution-style manner. Their 12-year-old daughter was also shot in the head but miraculously survived the attack, while their two sons, aged 8 and 4, were unharmed.
