In the early morning hours of June 27, 2026, a 911 call shattered the tranquility of rural Rogue River, Oregon. On the other end of the line, a man reported that he had just shot a woman during a domestic dispute. Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputies were immediately dispatched to a residence on Sykes Creek Road.
