In the autumn of 2001, a dedicated law enforcement officer, Captain Charles Brown 'Chuck' Morgan, Jr., a 51-year-old male, tragically lost his life in the line of duty. The events leading to his death began on the morning of November 13, 2001, in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Captain Morgan, along with Deputy Billy Ray Walls and another deputy from the Jessamine County Sheriff's Office, was serving a warrant for terroristic threatening on an elderly man.
