In the quiet town of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the life of 67-year-old Linda Faye Humphries Summers, a White female, came to a tragic and unexpected end on January 5, 2013. The devastating event unfolded within the walls of her own home on Hillaire Drive, a place that should have been a sanctuary. On that Saturday, Linda was fatally shot in a shocking act of violence that also claimed the life of her 38-year-old son, Brian Jason Chadwick Summers.
