In the late summer of 2021, the community of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was shaken by the violent deaths of two young people. On August 7, 25-year-old Kierra LaShae Wallace Gomez and 21-year-old George Gomez were found shot inside a residence on Peach Street. The incident left friends, family, and the wider community mourning the loss of two lives cut tragically short. Kierra was known as a sweet and giving person who worked as a store manager.
