In the small community of Stone, Kentucky, a gathering of a local motorcycle club on a summer day in 2014 turned tragic, leaving a young man dead and a community in shock. Bradley Keith Coleman, a 29-year-old man, was fatally shot on July 27, 2014, during the club's meeting. The incident also resulted in injuries to two other individuals.
According to reports from the Kentucky State Police, an altercation occurred at the meeting, which escalated to the point of gunfire. Bradley Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Deputy Coroner. The swift response of law enforcement led to the immediate apprehension of a suspect.
Daniel Ward was arrested by the Kentucky State Police as he was attempting to leave the scene of the shooting. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Pike County Detention Center, where he was charged with one count of murder. State police indicated at the time that further charges were likely as their investigation into the deadly encounter continued.
