In the small community of Wooten, Kentucky, the life of Christopher Blake Sizemore, a 28-year-old white male, was tragically cut short. On a weekend in early August 2014, Sizemore was shot. He was transported to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Despite medical efforts, Christopher Sizemore succumbed to his wounds on Monday, August 4, 2014. The Fayette County coroner's office officially ruled his death a homicide.
The Leslie County Sheriff's Department took charge of the ensuing investigation into the shooting.
A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Sizemore was remembered as a person with a loving and kind heart who cherished spending time with his family. In an act of generosity even in death, he was an organ donor, and through his selfless act, he was able to save four other lives. Following his passing, he was laid to rest in the Mullins Family Cemetery in Big Creek, Kentucky. To date, there has been no publicly available information regarding any arrests made or suspects identified in connection with his death.
