A quiet night in Louisville's Portland neighborhood was shattered by violence that left a local man dead. Michael Trotter, a 46-year-old Black male, was found shot inside a home on Rowan Avenue around midnight on October 16, 2017. Police responded to a call and discovered Trotter, who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
