In the quiet community of Chavies, Kentucky, a domestic dispute turned fatal for Eddie Miller, a 59-year-old male. On a Monday evening at approximately 9:30 p.m., events escalated within his residence on Docs Branch Lane, culminating in his untimely death.
According to statements provided to the Kentucky State Police, an altercation began between Miller and his wife, Novalene Miller. As the physical struggle continued, Eddie Miller reportedly introduced a firearm into the conflict. The two then wrestled for control of the weapon.
During the struggle, the gun discharged, striking and fatally wounding Eddie Miller. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed in Frankfort to determine the precise cause and manner of death.
At the time of the initial reports, Novalene Miller had not been charged in connection with her husband's death. The incident remained under active investigation by the Kentucky State Police as they worked to piece together the full sequence of events that led to the fatal shooting.
