In the late summer of 2016, the rural tranquility of Lee County, Kentucky, was shattered by a grim discovery that would unravel a complex tale of violence and betrayal. The body of Billy Ryan Roark, a 28-year-old male from Beattyville, was found on the morning of Friday, August 5th, in a wooded area off Hell Creek Road. He had been fatally shot in what authorities would soon determine was one of two separate but connected homicides that occurred on the same turbulent Thursday night.
