In a quiet, rural part of Lee County, Kentucky, a family disagreement escalated into a tragedy that claimed the life of 26-year-old Forest S. Lee. On the evening of June 28, 2018, outside a residence on Spencer Fork Road, an argument between Forest and his younger brother, Anthony S. Lee, took a fatal turn.
The dispute led to Anthony allegedly retrieving a firearm and shooting his brother. Forest S. Lee was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lee County Coroner. Following the shooting, Anthony, who was 20 years old at the time, fled the scene on an ATV. The ATV was later found abandoned by law enforcement.
The Kentucky State Police launched an investigation into the deadly shooting. The following morning, Anthony S. Lee was arrested in connection with his brother's death. He was taken to the Three Forks Regional Jail and faced multiple charges, including Murder, Arson, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fleeing or Evading Police, and two counts of Wanton Endangerment in the 1st Degree.
