In the late summer of 2016, the community of Morehead, Kentucky, was unsettled by the violent death of one of its own. Marvin James "Jimmy" Adkins, a 24-year-old Caucasian male, was killed on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. The young man, who was known to his friends and family as Jimmy, died from a gunshot wound in an incident that would lead to a criminal investigation and an eventual arrest.
