On the night of April 13, 2017, former University of Louisville linebacker Abraham 'Abe' Brown, a 33-year-old Black male, was found shot to death inside a car in the Shively neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. His death was one of four homicides that tragically occurred in the city within a five-hour span. Brown, who played for the Cardinals from 2003 to 2006, was discovered after police responded to reports of gunfire.
