In Louisville, Kentucky, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded on a Monday afternoon, forever altering the lives of a young family. Two-year-old Jordan Dakota Mefford, a male child, was at home in the 6500 block of Huff Lane, under the care of his adult cousin alongside his three-year-old brother. His parents, Jesse and Carolyn Mefford, were away at the time; Jesse was at work, and his pregnant wife was at a doctor's appointment. It was during this time that the unthinkable happened.
