In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky, the life of 35-year-old Steven Earl Robinson Jr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 12, 2017, Robinson was found with a gunshot wound to his upper chest outside of a bar located on the 300 block of East Second Street. The shooting was reported shortly before 2:30 a.m., and despite being rushed to the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 2:50 a.m.
