Kenny Young, a 24-year-old Black man, was shot on the afternoon of May 6, 2022, in New Orleans East, in the area of the 4800 block of Alcee Fortier Boulevard. Police were dispatched at about 2:14 p.m. to reports of gunfire, and what they found was not a single victim but a burst of violence that had ripped through a group of men in seconds.
