Adan Perez Mejia, a 25-year-old resident of Lexington, Kentucky, tragically lost his life on August 17, 2017. Mejia was fatally shot in the 100-block of Loudon Avenue. The incident was part of a series of violent events that plagued Lexington that year. The Lexington Police Department quickly identified David K. Trent as the primary suspect in the case.
