In the late summer of 2017, the community of Frankfort, Kentucky, was shaken by the violent death of a local man, Michael Shane 'Geese' Gaines. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 2, 2017, police responded to calls of shots fired at the Eastwood Garden Apartments on Forest Hill Drive.
