On December 25, 2014, 16-year-old D'nomyar Aket "Denom" Russell of Frankfort, Kentucky, was fatally shot during a family gathering. The incident occurred on Christmas night while the family was together. Denom was shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries the following day at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
