In the late summer of 2017, the community of Franklin, Kentucky, was struck by tragedy with the death of 16-year-old Joseph Wayne Grace. A White male, Grace was a student at Franklin-Simpson High School, known for his love of welding and working on cars.

On September 22, 2017, an incident occurred that would ultimately lead to Grace's untimely death. He sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The specific circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been widely publicized. Following the ...
