In the late spring of 2017, the life of 29-year-old Kennard Covington was cut short by an act of violence in Franklin, Kentucky. On the evening of Wednesday, May 31, 2017, Covington was fatally wounded by gunfire. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss.
