Mike Jones, a 58-year-old male from Flatgap, Kentucky, was found dead on the evening of August 27, 2018, in the yard of a home on Dixon Branch Road in the Volga community of Johnson County. A call came in to Johnson County 911 around 7:50–8:00 p.m., reporting that someone might have been shot, but the caller could not say who had pulled the trigger.
