In the winter of 2018 in downtown Louisville, a conflict aboard a TARC bus escalated to a fatal conclusion for 42-year-old Michael Bennett. On December 23rd, an altercation broke out between Bennett and another passenger, identified as 65-year-old Lawrence Williamson. The dispute culminated as Williamson was exiting the bus at 4th and Market Streets, at which point he shot Bennett.
