In the quiet Masterson Station neighborhood of Lexington, Kentucky, the evening of April 23, 2019, was shattered by a single act of violence that claimed the life of David Lee Kelm, a 46-year-old White/Caucasian male. At approximately 9:30 p.m., while inside his home on Skyview Lane, a shot was fired through the back door, striking Kelm.

Initially, the injuries sustained by the UPS driver and father were not believed to be life-threatening. He was transported to the University of Kentucky ...
