In the quiet community of Nicholasville, Kentucky, the life of James Derick Davis, a 30-year-old White male, came to a tragic and unexpected end on New Year's Day 2020. Known to his loved ones as Derick, he was a man who found solace in the outdoors, tending to his cattle and horses, and was a regular presence at church in Breathitt County alongside his mother.
