In the autumn of 2020, the life of 29-year-old Austin Jermaine Floyd, a Black male from Louisville, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of October 2nd, in the Shawnee neighborhood, a burst of violence on North 38th Street ended with Floyd suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
