In the autumn of 2020, a senseless act of violence tragically cut short the life of Alice Carter, an 82-year-old woman, in Lexington, Kentucky. On the afternoon of October 21st, Carter was returning home when she was caught in the crossfire of a shootout between individuals in multiple vehicles. An innocent bystander, she was struck by a stray bullet and emergency services were called to the scene. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries.
