Jihad Powell, an 18-year-old resident of Louisville, Kentucky, tragically lost his life on January 1, 2021. His death marked one of the first homicides in Louisville for the year 2021. According to reports, Powell was found in the 6200 block of Shepherdsville Road in the Highview neighborhood. He was transported to Jewish Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office classified his death as a homicide.
