In the winter of 2021, the life of 33-year-old Megan McCray, a beloved dog trainer from Latonia, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. On the evening of February 10th, Megan was at a home in Taylor Mill with her boyfriend, Shane Walters. Walters, who was heavily intoxicated, was attempting to show her how to disassemble and reassemble a handgun. In a moment of profound negligence, the firearm discharged, striking Megan in the chest and inflicting a fatal wound.
