In the late spring of 2021, a Louisville, Kentucky family was irrevocably altered by an act of violence. Roger Dale Shreve, Jr., a 46-year-old man known to his loved ones, was fatally shot on May 27, 2021. The incident that claimed his life unfolded near the intersection of Central and Montana Avenues in the Taylor Berry neighborhood, a location not far from the iconic Churchill Downs.
