On a September morning in Louisville, Kentucky, 16-year-old Tyree Smith was waiting at his school bus stop, a routine he performed on school days. That day, September 22, 2021, his life was tragically cut short in a drive-by shooting. The Eastern High School student, described as a funny, loving, and caring young man, was with two other students who were also injured in the attack. Tyree was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
