In the late evening hours of August 15, 2021, the Russell neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, was pierced by the sound of gunfire, a tragic event that would claim the life of Trenton L. Jones. Jones, a 28-year-old Black man, was discovered at the intersection of 26th Street and West Broadway around 10:15 p.m., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
