In the early morning hours of a Tuesday in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of Austin Turner, a 25-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On September 15, 2015, neighbors in the Hallmark neighborhood were startled by the sound of gunshots around 2:30 a.m. When police arrived at the 3300 block of Penway Avenue, they discovered Turner outside, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
