In the early morning hours of Halloween 2021, a night that should have been filled with festive celebration, turned into a scene of tragedy in Louisville, Kentucky. Darius Anderson, a 22-year-old Black male, was working as a security guard at the Unity Palace Event Center on Shepherdsville Road. Alongside him was his cousin, 22-year-old LaTroy Hornbeak. The two were inseparable in life, born just six months apart, and on this night, they were working side-by-side.
