In the spring of 2014, tragedy struck a Louisville, Kentucky family not once, but twice, in the same troubled housing complex. John L. Hebert, a 28-year-old male, lost his life to gunfire on April 29th at the Beecher Terrace apartments. His violent death was cruelly echoed by the fact that his own brother had been shot and killed in the very same location only weeks prior, compounding the grief for their mother, who was left to mourn the loss of two sons in such a short and brutal span of time.
