On the evening of New Year's Day 2022, the city of Louisville, Kentucky, marked its first homicide of the year with the death of 39-year-old Thaddaeus L. Hudson. A White / Caucasian male, Hudson was found fatally shot inside a vehicle at the intersection of Smyrna Parkway and Outer Loop in the Highview neighborhood. The incident, which occurred around 6 p.m., prompted a response from the Louisville Metro Police Department's 7th Division after reports of a shooting.
